Glue is Ottawa’s first and only student magazine. Making its first appearance in 2003, 6,500 copies are available each semester with new issues published in September and January. The Glue team distributes at Algonquin College, Carleton University and the University of Ottawa, reaching all of Ottawa’s main post-secondary campuses.
Each issue of Glue covers everything students care about: food, sex, money (or lack thereof), gaming, music, whatever! This is a magazine about students written by students, and it gives the student body a chance to have their collective voice heard – without the megaphone. The Journalism and Advertising Marketing Communications programs from Algonquin College collaborate on the publication every year, taking care of everything from editorial content, to promotions and advertisements. Glue’s website (www.glueottawa.com) has been up and running since 2011, bringing all of the magazine’s content to Ottawa students and beyond.
