Arrest made after U of O laptop thefts

An arrest has been made after $10,000 worth of laptops were stolen from the University of Ottawa between Sept. 19 and 27.

Police say that two men gained entry into buildings at the University of Ottawa in order to carry out the crime.

Arrested in connection with the incident on Oct. 1 is Sami Fetoui, 20. Fetoui and an unidentified accomplice is described as a black male with facial hair, a red back pack, white Nike baseball cap, a black hoody and a black t-shirt.

It is not yet known if Fetoui or his accomplice were students of the school.

The Ottawa Police Service has asked for anyone with information related to the break-in to call the Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533. Tips can be given anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
